TROPICAL CYCLONE SUMMARY: (1) AT 05MAY26 1800Z, TROPICAL DEPRESSION 05W (FIVE) WAS LOCATED NEAR 8.4N 148.3E, APPROXIMATELY 88 NM NORTH-NORTHWEST OF PULUWAT, AND HAD TRACKED WESTWARD AT 07 KNOTS OVER THE PAST SIX HOURS. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED SURFACE WINDS WERE ESTIMATED AT 30 KNOTS GUSTING TO 40 KNOTS. SEE REF A (WTPN31 PGTW 052100) FOR FURTHER DETAILS. (2) NO OTHER TROPICAL CYCLONES. B. Light to Moderate to Occasionally Heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over #MaguindanaoDelNorte(SultanKudarat, SultanMastura, DatuOdinSinsuat, Matanog), #CotabatoCity, #LanaoDelSur(Kapatagan), #ZamboangaSibugay(Tungawan) and #ZamboangaDelNorte(LaLibertad) within the next 1-2 hours.

The above conditions are being experienced in #MaguindanaoDelNorte(Parang) which may persist within 1-2 hours and may affect nearby areas.

All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides.
