HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND AREAS
Heavy Rainfall Outlook

Refer to Weather Advisory No. 6 issued at 11:00 PM today for the heavy rainfall outlook due to TC INDAY and the Southwest Monsoon.

Severe Winds

The wind signals warn the public of the general wind threat over an area due to the tropical cyclone. Local winds may be slightly stronger/enhanced in coastal and upland/mountainous areas exposed to winds. Winds are less strong in areas sheltered from the prevailing wind direction.

Minimal to minor impacts from strong winds are possible within any of the areas under Wind Signal No. 1.

The highest Wind Signal that may be hoisted throughout INDAY’s passage is Wind Signal No. 2 or 3.

The enhanced Southwest Monsoon and the periphery of Super Typhoon INDAY will bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas (especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds):

Today: Most of Mindanao.
Tomorrow (08 July): Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, most of MIMAROPA, most of Bicol Region, most of Visayas, and most of Mindanao.
Thursday (09 July): Most of the country.

HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS
A Gale Warning will be issued by tomorrow (08 July) morning or afternoon over the northern and eastern seaboards of Luzon and Visayas.
24-Hour Sea Condition Outlook

TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK
It must be emphasized that heavy rainfall and severe winds may still be experienced in localities outside the forecast confidence cone. Refer to Other Hazards affecting Land Areas for more details. Furthermore, the track may still shift within the limit of the forecast confidence cone.
INDAY is forecast to move generally west northwestward and will enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility tomorrow (08 July) early morning. It will then turn northwestward while remaining over the Philippine Sea and will be nearest to Extreme Northern Luzon by Friday (10 July) before heading towards the north of Taiwan.
