TROPICAL CYCLONE SUMMARY: (1) AT 24JUN26 0000Z, TROPICAL DEPRESSION 08W (HIGOS) WAS LOCATED NEAR 15.1N 141.9E, APPROXIMATELY 194 NM WEST-NORTHWEST OF ANDERSEN AFB, AND HAD TRACKED WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AT 09 KNOTS OVER THE PAST SIX HOURS. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED SURFACE WINDS WERE ESTIMATED AT 30 KNOTS GUSTING TO 40 KNOTS. SEE REF A (WTPN32 PGTW 240300) FOR FURTHER DETAILS. (2) AT 24JUN26 0000Z, TYPHOON 07W (MEKKHALA) WAS LOCATED NEAR 21.0N 124.6E, APPROXIMATELY 374 NM SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF KADENA AB, AND HAD TRACKED NORTH-NORTHWESTWARD AT 08 KNOTS OVER THE PAST SIX HOURS. The above conditions are being experienced in #AgusanDelSur(Esperanza) which may persist within 1-2 hours and may affect nearby areas.
